I joined Dr. Ferguson’s laboratory in 2020 for my second postdoc with the primary focus on acquiring skills in data science, advanced statistical analytics, and machine learning. My prior research experience in neuroscience had two large themes 1) sensorimotor dysfunction driven by nociceptive mechanisms and 2) application of non-invasive neuromodulation in spinal cord injury (SCI). I have specific interests in pain neurobiology, maladaptive plasticity, and neuromodulation (e.g. electrical spinal cord stimulation) as a form of rehabilitation post-CNS trauma. As a member of UCSF Brain and Spinal Injury Center (BASIC) as well as the Core Center for Patient-centric, Mechanistic Phenotyping in Chronic Low Back Pain (UCSF REACH), I conduct clinical and analytical research. I am fortunate to do what I love but if I had to choose an alternative career, I would become a professional dancer. I love music, theater, and literature, particularly Russian classics.
