J. Russell Huie, PhD

J. Russell Huie received his PhD in 2010 from Texas A&M University, where he studied spinal cord plasticity after injury. Dr. Huie is an Assistant Professional Researcher in the Brain and Spinal Injury Center at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and holds a joint appointment as statistician with the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Huie's research focuses on the effects of polytrauma on inflammation and plasticity after neurotrauma. He also applies advanced analytic methods to neurotrauma problems, including biomarker discovery and functional recovery. He is a member of the TRACK-TBI and TRACK-SCI clinical efforts. He has published 50+ peer-reviewed journal articles, reviews, and book chapters.
